Health Care

Our concern towards ensuring good health status of our children is reflected by the number of health camps organized in the year for Dental Checkup, General Health Checkup, Eye Checkup, Cancer Detection, Leprosy Detection, ENT Checkup and so on.

Social Developments

HCHW firmly believes in retaining the basic identity of children by providing an opportunity to regain their lost childhood. We celebrated all the National and International events, festivals and other celebrations. We also organized picnics, outings and other social interaction programmes at regular intervals in order to ensure children get opportunities to express themselves, motivate them to participate in rehabilitation process and thereby create among them a sense of belongingness.

Repatriation

The project proposal envisages repatriation of 500 children with their families within a period of three years. Further, 50% of the children covered through CDCs were expected to develop links/contacts with their families. Repatriation of children with their families is the ultimate aim of HCHW. This is one of the major and important component of HCHW. We, at HCHW believe that the love and affection of parents can not be substituted by any person, group or institution; no matter how much ever best facilities and services (other than the parents) are provided to the children. Secondly, we feel that it is the responsibility of the parents to take care of their children and to protect them against all forms of abuse and hostilities.

Children's Carnival

Bachpan Utsav 08’, has been one of the successful programs for the children in difficult circumstances. The Carnival Started on 14” November 2008 at the Hockey Ground, Masab Tank, Hyderabad. Carnival attempts at offerning these children an environment, which gives them a chance to enjoy, experience and regain their lost childhood. Children’s Carnival aims at providing an wholesome entertainment, education, awareness, heallthcare, insights into child rights and information on various aspects of life. Children’s Carnival is also a great opportunity to generate awareness among people and sensitize them to the cause of street children and partner/collaborate with different groups interested in promoting Child Rights.
